Atlantic Beach cancels fall bike fest

The city of Atlantic Beach decided to cancel its first-ever fall bike fest for this year.
''This is something we have to plan and we haven’t had the time. Time has been too short,'' said councilwoman Charlene Taylor. ''If you don’t have the time to sit down and figure out how to get resources, you don’t have resources."
No committees were formed to work on the event and no funding was collected, Taylor said.
''In the future, it’s very possible, but not this fall,'' she said.
Rev. Windy Price, pastor of Atlantic Beach Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, said she was extremely disappointed with the decision made by officials to call off the fall event.
''The town definitely need the extra funds for operations expense and it’d be an extra buffer for financials. A little bit extra never hurts," she said. ''It was ample enough time. If they were serious about it and it was something they really felt strongly about and they really wanted to see extra finances come into the town, they would have made every effort. It’s no excuse for this."::

This is so sad CA 
When I heard the news I thought maybe by fall 2010 they will have it together. I will still be in MB Sept. 30th - October 5, 2009.
So if anyone is still tryin to make a FALL PARTY hit a sistah up at

Just wanted to give an update I returned home from MB on 10-6-2009. Other than it being a relaxing trip I was bored. Nobody can do it like the BBW crew.
Prayerfully Fall 2010 Atlantic Beach will be able to host it's first annual Fall Bike Rally.
See Yall in May!!!
